I love the granny stitch. It’s easy, it’s pretty, and it works up quickly. I used it here to create a variation of my Boho Vest. (It is sized up a little – I’d say about an 8 – 10.) These vests are so versatile. I throw them on anytime I need a little extra coverage or just a little extra style! I hope you give it a try. 🙂

Materials:
Caron Simply Soft in Grey Heather – 4 skeins
Boye crochet hook size I
The back panel is 24” wide, the two front panels are 11” wide each, and the back length is 30”.
*Notes:
1. The size is easily adjusted by making the panels larger or smaller. Just make a chain that would be a multiple of four, and then chain one more for the width of the panels. Increase or decrease rows for the length of the panels.
2. The “ch 2” for the turning chain on the double crochet is correct. I know the standard is to chain 3 for a double crochet turning chain, but I prefer 2. You can do either one and the pattern will be fine.
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
st(s) – stitch, stitches
