This yarn is so big, soft, and cushy that it makes the most comfy blanket ever!  It’s called Baby Blanket yarn, but I wanted a more grown-up contemporary look so I kept it simple with the stitches and design.  This blanket is totally beginner-friendly and you will end up with a gorgeous, soft, modern-looking accent for your home.  The finished size is approximately 34” x 59”.

If you’d like an ad-free, easily printable version of the pattern, you can help support my small business and purchase it for a small fee in my Ravelry Store – Simple Things Crochet.

Materials:

Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in Baby Sand – 3 skeins

Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in Little Sandcastles – 1 skein

Hook size L

Abbreviations:

Ch – chain

Sc – single crochet

Sc blo – single crochet back loop only

St, sts – stitch, stitches

Notes:

  1. Ch 1 at beginning of row does not count as stitch.
  2. I highly recommend using a stitch marker to mark the end of each row.  This yarn is very thick and it can be hard to tell where to put your last stitch.
  3. Single crochet back loop only is just that.  You crochet only under the back loop instead of under both as in a typical single crochet.  See photos below.
