This infinity scarf is the perfect weight for Spring into Summer. It’s a blend of Lion Brand Ombre Life and Lion Brand Jeans Yarn. Two very different weights and textures that blend together beautifully! This began as an experiment. When I started out, I had no idea how it would work out. The results are more than I could have hoped for! This scarf can be worn in so many ways, and the yarns drapes beautifully. And those colors!! 😍 They reminded me of the ocean when it gets whipped up in a storm – hence, the name. This scarf would be gorgeous draped around your neck as you stroll the beach on a warm summer evening. You can also pull it down over your shoulders to add a touch of style to a tank or sundress, or pull it up over your head like a hood. It’s a truly versatile piece that you will get so much use out of, and it’s a cinch to crochet! Scroll to the bottom of the post to see all the different ways you can wear this beautiful scarf. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LION BRAND OMBRE LIFE YARN HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. If you’d like a similar look, you will need a fine weight #2 cotton yarn. I think Red Heart It’s A Wrap Rainbow yarn in Foggy is an excellent substitute.

Special Stitch:
Hdc between posts, and dc between posts – For these stitches you will insert your hook under all of the loops and between the posts of the previous row. See photos below.
Notes:
- Beginning chains don’t count as stitches
- Always make your first stitch in the very first stitch in the row.
- I recommend using stitch markers to easily keep your rows even. Place a stitch marker in the the first stitch of a row, and you will know where to crochet your last stitch when you get back to that end.
- Starting at row 100, you will be finishing off with the Cloudy Day yarn. Depending on your gauge, you may end up with a row or two more or less. Just keep going till you’re near the end of the skein so you have a large section of the pink color at the end, but leave enough so that you can have a long tail to sew the ends together.
