This simple but elegant shawl is taken to the next level by the sparkling yarn it’s made with. Besides being beautiful, it’s incredibly versatile – you can wear it as a shawl, wrap, cowl, or scarf. We took so many photos of this wrap because there are so many ways to wear it! It would be gorgeous wrapped around black velvet for those upcoming holiday parties, but it would also add just the right spark to jeans when you’re cozied up around the fire. (See a close-up photo of the yarn at the bottom of this post.) You can’t go wrong with the Aurora Shawl no matter how you wear it!
If you’d like an ad-free, easily printable version of the pattern, you can help support my small business and purchase it for a small fee in my Etsy shop – SimpleThings byTia, or in my Ravelry Store – Simple Things Crochet.

Fringe:
Cut 15” strands of yarn for the fringe. You will need 100 strands of Chinchilly and 12 strands of Blanc for each end.
Fold each strand in half, pull the loop through a space at the end, and then pull the two ends through the loop and tighten. Space strands evenly across each end, coordinating the colors with the rows of the shawl.
There are lots of ways to make fringe. I use a book to evenly cut my strands of yarn. See the photo tutorial below.
Look at those tiny sparkly sequins!!
