Believe it or not, this photo isn’t meant to be about my mixer, even though I love my pink Kitchenaid! It’s about the crochet mat beneath it. As much as I love that mixer, it weighs a ton, and it’s a bear to move it around on my counter. So I crocheted an appliance mat to go beneath it and now it slides easily. I liked it so much that I made one for all of my countertop appliances. A simple thing that’s incredibly useful! Mine is just a rectangle of half double crochet in Lion Brand Cotton yarn. It couldn’t be easier and it’s a great way for a beginner to make something other than a scarf!
